As our new Distribution Manager & Sales Planning (all genders), you will analyze and consolidate market trends, create precise sales forecasts, and contribute to improving our supply chain strategy. In close collaboration with colleagues from Sales, Operations and Controlling, you will actively contribute to data-driven decision-making and make us smarter.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Demand planning
    Develop, optimize and maintain sales forecast models based on historical data, market trends, and seasonal fluctuations, as well as conduct scenario analyses for inventory and production planning.
  • Data quality & integration
    Ensure dealer data quality and integrate external market and economic data into forecasting models.
  • Data based recommendations for optimized sales
    Create & automate dashboards and reports to visualize short-, mid- & longterm sales forecasts and KPI developments, as well as present actionable recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Improve & automate
    Identify and implement improvements in BI processes and tools, including the application of advanced analytics methods such as predictive analytics or machine learning.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • A degree in business informatics, business administration, statistics, data science, or a comparable field of study
  • Several years of experience in business intelligence, demand planning, sales controlling or sales forecasting, ideally in the consumer goods or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel) and data analysis technologies (Python, R, SQL)
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with a strong affinity for numbers
  • Experience with forecasting methods (time series analysis, regression models) and ideally with machine learning
  • Collaborative attitude to engage with teams across Sales, Production, Procurement, Controlling, and Marketing to align forecasts across departments and provide strategic guidance for supply chain and demand optimization
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex topics in a clear and understandable way
  • A structured, solution-oriented, and team-oriented working style
  • You feel confident working in both German and English
